Short term Programs

About the program

Project-based learning at NMIT is a student-centric approach to education that emphasizes hands-on, real-world projects as the primary means of teaching and learning. This approach is very effective for helping students to develop the required practical skills and enhance their problem-solving abilities.

The admission of foreign nationals under the MoU will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions spelt out in the MoU agreed between NMIT and the partner University/Institution concerned. Students arriving under the MoU will not be charged tuition fees. Students are required to bear costs related to living expenses, boarding, lodging and travel, the accommodation will be provided in hostels (upon request) on a payment basis.

Multi-disciplinary Research Labs.

Duration: 6 Months (Jan – May)

Type of Program: Full time residential at NMIT

Eligibility

The student must be registered for a UG/PG program in a recognized foreign Institute/University.

  • The student should be nominated/recommended by the recognized university for the course work, for both the MOU and non-MOU category.
  • Students must be pursuing their third/fourth year of engineering in their home institution.
  • Students are expected to have a good knowledge of English.

Important information

  • Visa type: All students opting for course work should apply for only STUDENT visa.
  • The minimum attendance requirement for exchange students is 85%

Internships / immersion program is an opportunity for undergraduate students to pursue their passions and interests through experiential learning. Each student takes a self-directed engagement in the research centre or specific laboratory to enhance experimental and research skills.

Duration: 4 – 5 Weeks (June – July)

Type of Program: Full time residential at NITTE.

Long term Programs

About the Program

Foreign nationals registered for a Master’s/PhD degree in our partnering university or any recognized Institute/University who are officially sponsored by that Institute/University to carry out Research work or to avail of a laboratory or other facilities at NMIT, Bengaluru for a period not exceeding two semesters are accepted as visiting students under the MoU or non-MOU category.

The admission of foreign nationals under the MoU will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions spelt out in the MoU agreed to between NMIT, Bengaluru and the partner University/Institution concerned. Students are required to bear costs related to living expenses, boarding, lodging and travel. Accommodation is provided in hostels on payment basis at a nominal fee. Students arriving under the MoU will not be charged tuition fees.

For the admission of foreign nationals under the non-MOU category, students are requested to pay the corresponding tuition fee per semester as per the rules and regulations of NMIT, Bangalore.

Departmental Research

Eligibility

The eligibility conditions are:

The student must be registered under a Master’s/PhD program in a recognized foreign Institute/University.

  • The student should be nominated/recommended by the recognized university for the Research work, for both the MOU and non-MOU category.
  • The student is requested to identify a faculty advisor/supervisor/guide they are interested to work with in NMIT, Bengaluru. They should approach the concerned faculty for acceptance to be their supervisor at NMIT, Bengaluru throughout their research work with the recommendation from their advisor/guide at the home institution.
  • Students are expected to have a good knowledge of English.

Application Deadline:

Students can apply at any time during the year. If research work requires coursework requirements, students are requested to start along with the commencement of the semesters as follows;

  • Even Semester (July - December)
  • Odd Semester (January-May/June)
