IEEE Computer society students branch chapter and technical clubs of Information Science and Engineering department were formally inaugurated in November 2019. The clubs- Pursuit of 42, Order of Satoshi, Erudite club and Hack club are some of the technical clubs that are run by predominantly students of ISE. Professor N R Shetty was the Chief Guest of the event and Dr SnehanshuSaha was the Guest of honor. Dr Saha is the chair of IEEE Computer Society Bangalore Chapter. Professor H C Nagaraj and Professor Sridhar presided over the inauguration. The event was concluded by a technical talk on "CESSA meets Machine Learning" by Dr Saha.

IEEE Computer Society (CS) Bangalore Chapter has strived to be a trendsetter in recent times, setting new goals of excellence and playing the part of a true institution. Knowledge creation and dissemination are equally important in the fast-evolving scenarios in technological space. CS Bangalore Chapter pledges allegiance to the interdisciplinary nature of computer science, while staying true to the breadth and depth of computer science research and applications. In the continued pursuit of creating excellence in research dissemination, we have embarked on a series, Chapter’s flagship event, which will be a National level Drone Challenge.
In addition, the focus group on AstroInformatics (two years into existence) is fast evolving to design and critique a set of fundamentally correct thumb rules and experiments, backed by solid mathematical theory and Machine Learning with stability and far reaching impact serving the context of specific science problems of interest to the audience. The focus group, supported and backed by IEEE CS Bangalore will continue to create a new body of knowledge by research publications, books, tutorial videos, workshops, data sets and open source code libraries.
IEEE Computer Society Bangalore Chapter is awarded outstanding large chapter in 2019 for its contribution to the development of computing research and education.

Pursuit of 42 (Machine Learning Club): -
The "pursuit of 42" a club associated with department of Information Science and Engineering aims at demystifying the concepts of data science and machine learning. The goal is to filter relevant information from loads of data and apply it in solving the new challenges that would help in betterment of society. Apart from that the members are also guided by the industrial experts in such a way that they are in par with recent technology and have better understanding of current problems of industries and business.
Order of Satoshi (Blockchain Fraternity) : -
Order of Satoshi is the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Club of Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology. It consists of young individuals pumped up with the vision of Decentralization, Privacy and Open Ecosystem ready to change the world for good. Order of Satoshi focuses on cutting edge research and development in the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Ecosystem by conducting individual research in Distributed Systems, Cryptography, Crypto-Economics, MPC Systems etc. We work with plethora of Blockchain Frameworks such as Ethereum, Hyperledger, Quorum, Corda etc. We also Compare, Stress Test, Analyze and Map the Assumptions of the New Blockchain Ecosystem Claims.

We present to you just the place to be if you love or want to learn spoken word/writing/debating/jamming or just about anything Literary. Erudite is the creative journey with fellow students of ISE.
Hack Club: -
Hack Club is a global network of programming clubs where members learn to code through tinkering and building projects. Hack Club is a student led with a philosophy of "By the students for the students". This year GitHub has announced Hack Club as their K-12 partner.
Optimize Prime (Competitive Coding CodeChef Student Chapter): -
OptimisePrime is NMIT's official CodeChef Campus Chapter. Our goal is to nurture a positive competitive programming culture within the college, holding regular classes and contests that help people get started and stay committed to solving quintessential computer science problems, helping them with their internships, placements and international collegiate programming championships.
Íignis Innovations Lab is a campus venture of Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bangalore. The lab is found by the students and faculty of the Department of Information Science and Engineering. We are proud to inform you of the inauguration of the lab in October 2017.
Íignis Innovations Lab is the brainchild of two faculty members of the Department of Information Science and Engineering and three students of the same department who dared to dream and saw potential to create a work-study program on Campus for the betterment of society. Íignis started off with a few projects developed by students working as paid internships. One project “NotesApp” is a step towards digital revolution which the Government of India encourages. The other project inculcates in students the love for technology. Íignis is also in the prototyping stage of a new technology.
Sangyartham, which means ‘Collaborative progress’, is the techno-cultural wing of the Department of Information Science. Both UG & PG students and Faculty of the department are actively involved in the activities organized through this forum. The department has been extremely supportive, both in terms of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, making Sangyartham one of the college’s most vibrant department associations today. Following forums were formed to improve the Practical/Inter-personal Skills.
ITF is a student driven body mentored by faculty with the mission of "Learn, Collaborate and Prosper".The main aim of the ITF is to provide the platform to the students to excel in emerging areas.
The ICS aims at harnessing all round talents of each student of the department. It serves as a platform for students to showcase their innate abilities.
