Sponsored Research Project “SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF PVDF-PES ULTRAFILTRATION NANO MEMBRANES FOR WATER PURIFICATION WITH LONG LASTING ANTI –FOULING PROPERTIES”.

Dr. Srilatha Rao , Professor, Department of Chemistry, NMIT, has received a project of Rs 20 lakhs under K-FIST LEVEL -1 , 2017-19 from VGST, Govt of Karnataka.

The above project of Dr. M. S. Raghu, Asst. Professor, Department of Chemistry, has been selected by Government of Karnataka, Vision Group on Science and Technology (under the category SEED MONEY TO YOUNG SCIENTISTS FOR RESEARCH) for the financial year 2015-16.

Composite of Polysulfone, polyamide with nano particles for Reverse Osmosis (RO) applications

PAPER PRODUCTION

The manufacture of paper from grass (Desmostachya Bipinnata) of Malnad region. This involves processes such as extraction, pulping and bleaching.

ORGANIC SYNTHESIS

Synthesis of benzamides, pseudo peptides and their metal oxides for anti-microbial, DNA, binding and cleavage studies

METHOD DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF ANTIALLERGIC DRUGS

It involves development of method for the analysis of anti-allergic drugs in tablets, syrups with comparison to pure forms.
