“FALCON” Aeronautical Students’ Association organized “UDAAN 2019” A two day Technical Fest on 30th and 31st January 2019. The Technical competitions such as RC airplane, Quad copter, Water Rocketry, Glider, Technical Paper Presentations, etc. were organized.

Mr.Vinayaka N and Mr. Mahendra M A along with 7th semester students are representing NMIT in "Mysore Dasara Project Exhibition 2018" for display and demonstration of VTU Best Project 2018 (1st Place) won by NMIT Aeronautical Department. The Project titled "Design and Development of Micro-Turbo Jet Engine". In total best Projects from 19 Universities from Karnataka are participating in the event.

The Department of Aeronautical engineering organized seminar on "AERO-GAS-TURBINE ENGINES" under aegis of FALCON on 09-09-2017 by Dr. K. Ramachandra, Director, NDRF, Former Director of GTRE, Ministry of Defense at Bangalore on 09-09-2017. The speaker addressed the Aeronautical engineering students on Aero-Gas-Turbine Engines

The students of the department of Aeronautical Engineering have formed an association called FALCON. The association organizes technical talks where the students get updates on the field of Aeronautical Engineering and Science.
FALCON has organized many seminars and workshops, the biggest one being the 5-day Aerotrix workshop.
Dr C V Chandrashekara, Professor & Director, Mechanical Engineering Domain, PES University has agreed to conduct a one day Interactive Program on Vibrations and Aeroelasticity under the Aegis of FALCON Club of the Department.
The Department under the Aegis of FALCON Club of the Department conducted Teachers Day Program and facilitated the Teachers of the department.
Prof. Venkataraman from NAL Bangalore inaugurated our Departmental forum “Falcon” for the academic year 2015-16. Our Principal, HoD, and members of Dept. of Aeronautical Engineering attended the inauguration.
Prof. Venkataraman delivered a talk on “The present trends in the Aeronautical Engineering” and highlighted the future of Aeronautical engineers.
